The West Australian Government has implemented the National Construction Code requirements for all new homes to meet a 6 Star Energy Rating from May 1st 2012.
This is more than just a increase in the required Star Rating as it also includes limitations on the power use of the homes lighting and increases in the rated insulation levels to compensate for penetrations such as by down lights and exhaust fans.
